SyntaxShift is a powerful, web-based tool for the automated translation and analysis of PLC programs.
In the current version, SyntaxShift specifically supports the translation of IL (Instruction List) code into ST and SCL. This makes it ideal for migrations, modernizations, and the structured reuse of existing PLC programs.
·Automatic translation from AWL / IL to ST and SCL
·Focused on real-world migration requirements
·Reduced manual effort and lower risk of errors
·Web-based – no installation required
SyntaxShift provides an efficient solution for anyone looking to safely convert IL programs into modern PLC languages.
SyntaxShift is designed to automatically analyze existing AWL / IL programs and precisely identify their logical structures and functional dependencies.
Based on this analysis, the source code is converted into structured and traceable ST or SCL while preserving the original program behavior. The resulting code is easier to read, maintain, and extend.
Compared to manual redevelopment, engineering effort, project duration, and risk of errors are significantly reduced, which is particularly beneficial for large or long‑established PLC programs.
SyntaxShift is ideally suited for retrofit projects, modernization initiatives, and the controlled replacement of long‑running legacy control logic.
