Licensing made easy - CODESYS License Server for Linux allows users to set up a network license server on Linux devices and apply licenses via a web-based management tool.
The CODESYS LicenseServer for Linux package allows you to conveniently set up a license server on a Linux-based device and apply licenses to it. The network license server can be used to centrally license CODESYS controllers in the entire network.
Deployment is carried out conveniently via the CODESYS Development System. A network-compatible version of Wibu Codemeter Runtime is installed on the target system. In order to be able to use the network license server, a plugin for Redhat Cockpit is also supplied, which allows users to activate application-based licenses on the server via a browser.

Licensing |  Single device license: The license can be used on the target device/PLC on which the CODESYS runtime system is installed. Licenses are activated on a software-based license container (soft container), which is permanently connected to the controller. Alternatively, the license can be stored on a CODESYS Key (USB dongle). By replugging the CODESYS Key, the license can be used on any other controller. |
