The HVAC KNX Library enables sending and receiving KNX group addresses via KNX IP interfaces (UDP) directly from the IEC program. It offers ready-made function blocks for various DPT KNX data types and has been tested with various manufacturer-specific KNX IP interfaces.
The HVAC KNX SL includes function blocks for KNX communication and is optimized for the CFC editor. A master block (Master UDP) serves as the basis to which "slave" blocks are connected. These blocks are interconnected via an interface. The library includes DPT Read and Write blocks as well as the most common DPT data point blocks. For special data points, please contact support@powerio.com.
A General block also allows direct retrieval of KNX raw data. Configuration is done directly on the block by entering the group address, without additional mapping. The KNX IP interface monitors the bus, causing the data to appear in the correct format directly on the block. When sending, care must be taken not to cause a "flooding" on the KNX bus to avoid speed and reaction problems in the KNX network.
This solution complements ideally with the HVAC Building Automation Package and the decentralized powerIO® system. Here, the data points can be further processed by ready-made blocks for HVAC building automation.
Requirements
Development System
CODESYS Development System V3.5.17.2 or higher
Runtime System
CODESYS Control V4.2.0.0 or higher
Supported Platforms
All CODESYS runtime systems in the version specified above
Licensing
Single device license: The license can be used on the controller where the CODESYS runtime system is installed.
License activation is done on a software-based license container (soft container) that is permanently bound to the controller. Alternatively, the license can be stored on a CODESYS Key (USB dongle).
By plugging the CODESYS Key into a different controller, the license can be used on that controller.
Without license acquisition (download only), the library functions for 30 minutes without functional limitations (Demo).
Note: Use the "Device Reader" project to determine the functions supported by the controller. "Device Reader" is available free of charge in the CODESYS Store.
